We will always remember Uncle Paul for his great love and compassion for his family and for his Lord and Savior. I remember driving lessons when I was 14 or 15 years old in Paul''s car. But more than anything we remember Paul and Elsie for their never ending love and dedication to Paul''s Aunt Alma and Elsie''s sister, my grandmother, Alma Whitmeyer. I can''t imagine how many trips they made to Logansport to visit and support her. Although we haven''t seen Paul for a while, his memory will always be with us.

FROM DAWSON  AGE 5; ''I LOVE  U ,  PAUL.''  Dawson is a 4th generation cousin of Paul and Aunt Elsie in the family of Sarah Evelyn (Stewart) Deifenbaugh.  Many of us have loving memories of Aunt Elsie and Paul at the Stewart farm and the Bever farm, at the various dry cleaning places where Aunt Elsie worked, at the Schmalzried house in North Manchester,as well as the home on Sinclair in Wabash! I am sure that they both agree with II Peter 3:9, and pray that we all have accepted the atonement of the LORD JESUS Christ for our sin and are committed to HIS Will for our lives!  John 3:16

With loving thoughts and prayers,

Joyce

My mind is full of fond memories of Paul.  Here is one tidbit.  I was away from the Catholic Church for more than a dozen years.  Upon "re-converting" I talked with him one Tuesday night after Rosary and Benediction at St. B's.  He said it was good to see me again.  When I told him of my wandering, he said, "I knew you'd come back.  I prayed for you every day."  Imagine the lump in my throat!  "Lord remember your servant Paul, may perpetual light shine upon him, and may his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace,"  Requiescat in pace, Paulus.

Paul opened his heart to many people including this cousin.  After he suffered the loss of his gall bladder I made it a point to visit him weekly on my lunch hour.  We chatted about our Irish roots.  We prayed for our family members.  We told jokes.  We reminiscenced about the farm and the good old days.  I will surely miss him but know I''ll see him in heaven!

Paul saved my son many times when I brought him into Wabash Co. Hospital not able to breathe. He was the one who told me about taken him to Denver Co. (to a special hospital who delt in breathing conditions). This put my son on the right track even though we have about lost him two more times since then. My son is 47 and he thought alot of Paul. Paul touch many lives and became friends with everyone he touched.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all of his friends.

Dearest Bever Family,
I only recently met Paul while we were both undergoing radiation. Within 5 min, he had stolen my heart!! What a caring, generous, gracious man!! I knew immediately how very unique & special he was & wanted to stay in touch with him. I visited him quite often in his apt. & also in hospital. I thought I knew many good Christians but Paul blew us all away!!!! In all his pain & discomfort he was always concerned about others, and genuinley so!!!

He was so very sincere, his heart overflowed whith love for his fellow man. I am so thankful the good Lord made our paths to cross, be it ever so brief! He truly made my heart sing. He taught me so much about being humble and serving God with the truest of soul, I hope in some small way I can continue his legacy of all that is pure & beautiful in this life among men. Cherish your memories of Paul as we all will, he was truly an Ambassador to God!!

Our thoughts & prayers are with you,

Dear Bever Family,
I am thinking of all of you in the Bever family.  Paul was one of my grandmother's (Jennie Harner) favorites.  He was by her side when she passed away many years ago.

Paul was immensley proud of his Irish heritage.  He enjoyed joking and story telling as is the tradition.

He was also compassionate and deeply cared for people.

My deepest sympathy.

Dear Bever Family,
I was so sorry to hear about Paul's passing.  I worked with him for many years in Respiratory Therapy at WCH.  He was inspirational, as his love for his patients was neverending.  I've never met anyone more compassionate.  I continued to correspond with Paul over the years since I moved to FL, and there will be something missing now.
I will keep you all in my prayers.
