Heartfelt condolence to the Family of James Black,
It is obvious from the many kind expressions that Mr. Black will be sadly missed. Having endured such a loss, I find comfort in knowing death was not God’s purpose for mankind and his purpose has not changed.
God’s word is clear, 'death is an enemy' and promises it will be 'brought to nothing'. (1Corinthians 15:26) Further, “He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces”. (Isaiah 25:8). God guarantees the grief and sorrow we experience is temporary. (Revelation 21:4). It is because of Jehovah God’s purpose and great love for us, that the restoration of life is assured.
As you know, Jesus not only spoke of the coming resurrection (John 5:21, 28, 29), he himself was resurrected by his Father and performed many miracles including resurrections. All such miraculous events took place on earth giving us a precious glimpse of what is to come! (Acts 24:15)
As you cherish the many fond memories of Mr. Black, may Jehovah God continue to bless your family during this difficult time and in the days ahead......
