Kris and Morgan,
I am so sorry to hear about the lost of your mom. I will be grieving too because Shirley was my second mom. She is now home in heaven with my mom who was like a sister to her. I am so sorry I could not make it up for the funeral. My heart is saddened. I love you both and will have you in my prayers.

It was a honor to be Shirley s friend.I helped care for her at autmnridge.
She ask for mushrooms one day so we called my husband up and he went and got them for her after that he called her the mushroom lady.she will be missed.Shirley rest in peace my friend

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. I have fond memories of her from church and from when y'all lived on 24 many many moons ago.
May you find peace and comfort in the Lord in this difficult time, my he wrap his arms around you. Know she is in a much better place and with your dad and sister again. My thoughts and prayers are with y'all.

Kris and Morgan, I was so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. We were neighbors for twenty years and during that time, shared lots of laughter and even some tears. The last time I saw Shirley, she still lived in her home at Lakeview. I had an appointment in Wabash and took a chance she would be at home. She was and met me at the door with a big hug and a few tears. We had a nice visit and caught up on all the news. I don't have to tell either of you this, but, could your Mom cook! She shared so many of her wonderful dishes with us over the years and, more than once when we were neighbors, she would knock on our front door with something she had made and wanted to share. We had many conversations either in her garage or sitting on the front steps of her house solving the problems of the world!
I lost my own Mom in 2012 and know what you must be feeling. Please take comfort in the fact that Shirley's life made a difference for many people and know that we share your sadness.
