Very sorry for your loss, although we hadn't seen Bob at the store for some time we can still hear his reaction when he would ask how much something cost, he would always respond with "Jeeminy Kraut!". I always enjoyed talking basketball with him and it was obvious how he loved his family. A proud American, we are indebted to him for his service to our country. Rest well Bob, you've earned it.

What a lovely message you posted. Dad touched so many lives with his humor and love of life, and it is wonderful that you remembered him in this way.

Please accept my condolences along with those of all of Tim's former players. I was lucky to hear many stories from Tim and Elizabeth, boy Tim sure thought the world of grandpa. I admired how, win or lose, Tim was always so grateful to see him at a game. I am sad that I just found this as I would have liked to pay my respects to the family in person. Thinking of you all.

What a thoughtful message. Thank you so much for the kind words. Just a few weeks ago I gave Jake a photo of Dad in his high school basketball uniform (number zero!). I think of Tim every day and miss Dad so much, but we were all so blessed for knowing them.

I was sorry to hear of the passing of a very dear and special friend in the life of the Bostwick family. Bob and his beloved Evelyn befriended us when we became neighbors. They were always there for our family, becoming the LaFontaine grandparents for our children. Bob always had a smile and a kind word to say to everyone he met along his life's journey. He was most proud of his children. One of the last conversation Jim and I had with Bob revolved around his children. He was telling us about his trip they had arranged for him to retrace some of his World War II encounters. He said, "In terms of money, I am a poor man, but my kids have made me the richest man in the world." May each of you find peace, comfort, and grace in God's healing arms. With love and sympathy, Etta.

Etta, your wonderful tribute to Dad (and Mom) brought tears to my eyes. We all miss Dad so much, but realize how fortunate we were to have him with us and able to enjoy the family for so many years. He was doing well until the last few months, and we were able to care for him at his home until just a few weeks before he died. We are keeping his home as part of the pine farm which Jim owns, so as I (and Jim and Flava) mow the lawn and keep up the house, I feel Dad's presence.

I have delayed looking at the condolences on the website, Maggie. Dad's death has left such a huge ache in all our hearts. My brothers and I are comforted that we were able to care for Dad in his home until just a few weeks before his death. He was such a sweet soul and maintained his sense of humor and appreciation until the end. I am so touched by your message.
