Thomas E. Curtis

Thomas E. Curtis, 67, a lifetime resident of Wabash, Indiana, passed away at 5:34 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Parkview Wabash Hospital in Wabash, Indiana. He was born on August 24, 1958, to John R. and Louise E. (Cecil) Curtis in Wabash, Indiana. 

Thomas was a 1976 graduate of Northfield High School. He married Sierra Warren on September 3, 1983; she passed away on February 5, 2020. Thomas worked at Celotex for 26 years and then at Miami Correctional Facility in Peru, Indiana. He enjoyed playing euchre, fishing, and mushroom hunting. Thomas also found joy watching sports, especially the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and IU. He loved animals, namely, his cats and dogs. 

Thomas is survived by his son, Thomas "Tommy" E. Curtis, Jr. of Logansport, Indiana; three grandchildren, Isabella Curtis, Conner Hartley, and Kristen Hartley; one brother, Tony (Paulette) Curtis of Wabash, Indiana; one sister, Pamela Curtis of Wabash, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his daughter, Nakeia Hartley. 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, Indiana 46992. Burial will follow at Mt. Etna Cemetery in Mt. Etna, Indiana. 

Visitation for friends and family will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
