Kaye E. Young

Kaye E. Young, 86, of LaFontaine, Indiana passed away at 12:06 a.m. Sunday, June 16, 2025, at his residence. He was born on July 15, 1938, in Elwood, Indiana. 

Kaye was a graduate of Summitville High School. He served in the United States Army. He married Cheryl Fisher on June 8, 1979. Kaye worked as a tool and die maker for General Motors in Marion, Indiana. He was also partial owner of Mr. KC's Excavating. Kaye loved to play golf; he was an avid sports fan, especially the Indianapolis Colts. He also enjoyed working on the farm any chance he could. Kaye held a membership with Summitville Masonic Lodge and LaFontaine I.O.O.F. Lodge. He also attended and held a membership at LaFontaine United Methodist Church. 

Kaye is survived by his wife, Cheryl Young of LaFontaine, Indiana; one son, Phillip "P.J." (Stephanie) Young of Kokomo, Indiana; two stepsons, Rod (Marla) Lines of Wabash, Indiana, Rick (Kelly) Lines of LaFontaine, Indiana; three grandsons, Phillip Young, Scott Young, Justin Young; two step grandchildren, Jill Eastman, Steven Reed; two great grandchildren, Lailah Young and Skyler Young; three step-great grandchildren, Haven Eastman, Aiden Reed, and Rylin Reed. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and four sisters. 

Per Kaye's wishes there will be no public services held.
