Kathleen Walker

Kathleen "Kathy" Walker, 91, of Columbia, Tennessee, formerly of LaFontaine, Indiana, passed away at 7:56 a.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at NHC-Maury Regional Transitional Care Center in Columbia, Tennessee. She was born on May 17, 1934, to Richard and Imogene (Fine) Burgin in Morristown, Tennessee. 

Kathy married George E. Walker; he passed away on January 10, 2016. She retired from Thompson Consumer Electronics in Marion, Indiana.

Kathy is survived by two sons, Brian (Faye) Walker of Columbia, Tennessee, and David Smith of Shelbyville, Indiana; one daughter, Virginia "Ginger" (Ron) Moon of Springport, Indiana; six grandchildren, Joshua San Roque, Jordan Walker, Justin Kolodziej, Mallory Smith, Austin Smith, and Dylan Smith; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main St., LaFontaine, Indiana 46940 with Pastor Brad Wright officiating. Burial will follow at LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery in LaFontaine, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
