John Paul Pullen

John Paul Pullen, 83, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at his residence, on Monday, June 26, 2023.  He was born on January 28, 1940, to Fred A. and Opal A. (Finkenbiner) Pullen in Marion, Indiana.

John grew up on a farm near Lincolnville, IN, and graduated from Wabash High School in 1958.  He then earned a BS Degree from Indiana University in 1962.  After college, he served 4 years in the United States Air Force before taking a position with Marathon Oil Company in Findlay, OH.  He retired in 2000.

John leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins throughout the country. In addition, his half-sister, Rebecca (Michael) Kerr of Wabash, Indiana; half-siblings, Billy Bob Pullen and Bettie Ann Pullen (Custer) are deceased.

John had been in Hospice Care for quite some time and the family is forever grateful to his caregivers, Mark Hensley Davis and Reginald Sykes.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on July 5, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home, 104 South Main St. LaFontaine, Indiana 46940 with Pastor David Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Huntington County, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at the funeral home.

A celebration of John's life will be held at a later date.
