Edward A. Dillard

Edward 'Ed' A. Dillard, 79, a resident of Wabash, Indiana, passed away at 6:15 a.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at his residence. He was born on September 5, 1946, to Bernard and Alice (Ringald) Dillard in Plymouth, Indiana. 

Ed married Sharon Bruning on September 18, 2003. Ed served as a supervisor for convenience stores through Martin and Bailey. He was a member of the Treaty Church of Christ in Treaty, Indiana and enjoyed reading his Bible. Ed loved sports, whether that was attending his grandchildren's games or watching Notre Dame Football. Above all, Ed loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. 

Ed is survived by his wife, Sharon Dillard of Wabash, Indiana; five sons, Todd Dillard of Wabash, Indiana, Zac Dillard of Logansport, Indiana, Mark Dillard of Logansport, Indiana, Ace (Jamie) Dillard of South Carolina, and Edward Dillard of South Carolina; two step-sons, Shane Bruning of Florida and Renwood Thacker of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; one step-daughter, Laneigh Bruning of Wabash, Indiana; twenty grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Treaty Church of Christ, 6793 S. 50 E., Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor Ryan Weaver officiating. Calling hours will be held after the service until 6:30 p.m.
