David L. Butler

David L. Butler, 75, of LaFontaine, Indiana passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Marion General Hospital in Marion, Indiana. He was born on March 9, 1950, to Ralph E. and Phyllis J. (Carnes) Butler in Marion, Indiana.

David was a 1968 graduate of Oak Hill High School. He married Jamie Somers on August 14, 1971. David was discharged from the Army National Guard in 2005 after 35 years of service.

David is survived by his wife, Jamie Butler of LaFontaine, Indiana; one daughter, Heather (Mark) Siler of Centerville, Indiana; three grandchildren, Zain Ghanem of Swayzee, Indiana, Khloe Wilson of Alexandria, Indiana, and Zeke Siler of Centerville, Indiana; one sister, Lynn Butler of Jalapa, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his parents. 

Per David's wishes there will be no services.
