Wanda F. Young, 73, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 5:20 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Parkview Hospital of Wabash in Wabash, Indiana. She was born to the Joe and Lilly (Williamson) Alley on August 10, 1943 in Tazwell County, Virginia.

Wanda married John Luke Young on September 30, 1962, he survives. Wanda was a homemaker to her family and loved her grandchildren. She also loved to play bingo and go to the casino.

Along with her husband, John Luke she is survived by son, John Luke Young Jr. of Texas; daughters, Sherry (Stephen) Russell of Wabash, Indiana, Heather (Cory) Koch of Wabash, Indiana, Stephanie (Jeffery) Dillion of Wabash, Indiana, Amy (Bill) Osborn of Wabash, Indiana, Vanessa (Justin) Knauff of Denver, Indiana, and Denise Blackburn of Wabash, Indiana; two brothers, Harvey Alley and Andy Alley of Virginia, and two sisters, Lea (Lonnie) Eddicott of Virgina and Kathy (Ronald) Roller of Peru, Indiana. Wanda has 25 grandchildren 29 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Sue Dye, and a grandchild, Rachel Russell.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992, with Pastor Tim Webb officiating the service. Preferred memorials are directed to the family of Wanda.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memorial Lawns Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mcdonaldfunerals.com
