Verlie Samons, 72, Wabash, passed away 1:17 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Wabash County Hospital in Wabash, Indiana. She was born to the late Johnie and Liddie (Sammons) Conn on January 8, 1939 in Martin, Kentucky.

She married Hardy Samons in 1956, he survives. She was a member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church. Verlie enjoyed gardening, taking care of her home, and loved her church and family.

Along with her husband, Hardy; she is survived by two sons, Timothy H. Samons (Dana) of Noblesville and Michael Samons of Wabash; a sister, Mary Conn of Martin, Kentucky; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters, along with her parents.

Service will be 10 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2011 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Officiating the services will be Pastor Tim Prater. Burial will follow in the Falls Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana 46992.
