Ronnie Jay "Catfish" Votra, 63, Wabash, passed away at 1:10 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Wabash County Hospital in Wabash, Indiana. He was born to late Ronald Jerry Votra and Ivory Mae (Music) Parks on August 26, 1948 in Wabash, Indiana.

He graduate from Wabash High School in 1966. He married Kathie D. White on November 27, 1988, she survives. He retired on July 30, 2010 from the Transmission Plant with Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo, Indiana; also he worked at GDX in Wabash. He was a member of Sons of American Legion Post 15, Wabash Moose Lodge and Wabash Elks Lodge all of Wabash and the United Auto Workers #685 of Kokomo. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and avid Golfer.

Along with his wife, Kathie; he is survived by daugther, Ali Blackburn of Fishers; three grandchildren, Samuel Blackburn, Charles Blackburn, and Abigail Blackburn all of Fishers; brother, Doug Wells of Nashville, Tennessee; and sister-in-law, Arlene Votra of Nashville, TN. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie L. Votra.

Services will be 10 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2011 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Officiating the services will be Pastor John Denniston. Burial will follow in the Memorial Lawns Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Wabash County Hospital HOPE Foundation, 710 N.
