Obituary

Robert O. Harrell, 88, Wabash, passed away 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Miller's Merry Manor in Wabash, Indiana.

He was born to the late Charles and Laura (Cozad) Harrell on January 29, 1922 in Huntington, Indiana. He married Virginia Kendall on November 5, 1941, she survives. Robert was a farmer, owner of Harrell Garage in Wabash and a Mechanic. He served his country in the United States Army from 1942 until 1945. He was an avid mushroom hunter, he enjoyed gardening, farming and camping all over the United States

Along with his wife Virginia; he is survived by two sons, Steve Harrell (Shirley) of LaFontaine and Robert V. Harrell of Indianapolis; two daughters, Roberta Alexander and Linda Mollett both of Wabash; two brothers, Thomas Harrell (Opal) of Huntington and Lamoine Harrell (Virginia) of Shirley, IN; a sister, Barbara Smith (Carl) of Huntington, IN; and nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and sixteen great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother- Max Harrell, a sister-Agnes Hite and a great granddaughter-Angelene.

Services will be 2 p.m on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel 104  S. Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940. Officiating the services will be Larry Hall. Burial will follow in the LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery in LaFontaine, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Preferred memorials are to Wabash County Cancer Society or Wabash County Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home.
