Robert K. Howard, 96, Wabash, passed away 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. He was born to the late Kenneth and Myrtle (Gaines) Howard on March 1, 1914 in Wabash, Indiana.

He married Jeannette R. Eviston on March 10, 1936 in Marion, Indiana, she passed away. He was a self employed farmer and a truck driver, he retired in 1975. He was a member of Lincolnville United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a son, Billy Bob Howard (Sally) of Plainfield, IN; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Robert (Shirley) Ellis of Texas;  brother, Donald Howard of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Betty Guenin of LaFontaine and Dorothy Williams of LaFontaine; six grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters, along with his parents and wife.

Services will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Officiating the services will be Rev. Melissa Rice. Burial will follow in the Center Grove Cemetery in Wabash County, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2010 at McDonald Funeral Home. Preferred memorials are to Lincolnville United Methodist Church, 5848 E. 500 S., Wabash, Indiana 46992
