Richard L. "Dick" Wood, Wabash, passed away at 2:52 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born to the late Wilma (Werner) Allisbaugh and Howard Wood in Tipton, Indiana on May 14, 1925.

He graduated from Wabash High School in 1944. Richard and Josephine were married on September 14, 1952. He was a toolmaker for Ford Meter Box in Wabash, Indiana for 25 years, also Co-Owner of Woods Framing & Art in Wabash. He served his country in WWII United States Navy. He was a District Commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America Sagamore Council and a former Scoutmaster for eleven years. He was affiliated with Wabash Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jo (Sonda) Wood of Wabash; daughter, Mrs. David (Joyce) DeVore of Wabash; two grandsons, David Bickford (Amy) of Fort Wayne and Michael Bickford (Krystle) of Keystone Heights, Florida; two great grandchildren, Abigail Bickford and Arabella Bickford; and cousins, Jackie Ray of Elwood, Janice Schuck of Elwood and Michael Schrenker of Anderson.
