Rebecca Jane Warren

Rebecca Jane Warren, 75, of Wabash, Indiana, passed away at 10:51 a.m., on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Hickory Creek Health Care in New Castle, Indiana. She was born on June 25, 1950, to Henry Harrison Briggs and Stella Belle (Woody) Briggs in Mars Hill, North Carolina.

Rebecca graduated from Oak Hill High School. In 1979 she received her LPN license and worked until her retirement in 2002. Rebecca married Reverend Larry Warren on April 6, 1980; he died on August 3, 2011. She enjoyed reading, her church, and her family. 

Rebecca is survived by her son, Jammy Allen Johnson of Wabash, Indiana; daughter, Lori Lynn Shepler of Wabash, Indiana; grandchildren, Ariel Elizabeth Johnson of Wabash, Indiana, Jessica Paige Johnson of Tennessee, Brandon Lee Johnson of Tennessee, Jammy Joe Justice of Wabash, Indiana, and Richard Shepler III of Wabash, Indiana; sister, Melba (Warren) Etchison of Converse, Indiana; brother, Edward (Patricia) Briggs of North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Phillip Anthony Johnson, and her sisters, Loydene Moore, Anita June Dase, and Margaret Whitehurst. 

Visitation for friends and family will be on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Homes, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, IN 46992.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Servia, Indiana.
