Phyllis Hobson, 56, of Wabash, Indiana passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023, at her daughter's residence in North Manchester, Indiana. She was born on August 21, 1967, in Wabash, Indiana, to Homer and Carol Penix. Her mother survives in Wabash, Indiana, and her father preceded her in death.

Phyllis was a member of the Wabash Alliance Church in Wabash. Phyllis was a great mom, loving and a hard worker.

Along with her mother, she is survived by four daughters, Clerisa Keirsey, Tennessee, Tabitha Rider, North Manchester, Indiana, Danyelle (Daniel) Steller, Roann, Indiana, Sierra (Ryan) Gamsby, Wabash, Indiana; three sisters, Vicki Case, Barb Miller, Linda Penix, all of Wabash, Indiana; and 13 grandchildren. Along with her father she was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Penix; and one sister, Faye Penix.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Ave. Wabash, Indiana 46992. Burial will follow at Falls Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
