Paul Joseph Samuel, 80, of Galveston, Indiana passed away at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester, Indiana. He was born on November 21, 1943, to Frank and Mary (Massarick) Samuel in Saginaw, Michigan.
Paul served in the United States Air Force. He worked as a truck driver for Brown's Trucking in Wabash and First Option Trucking in Marion before retiring. Paul was a member of Saint Bernard's Catholic Church in Wabash. He was also a member of the VFW Post 286. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Paul is survived by one son, Shaun (Dereka) Samuel of Galveston, Indiana; one daughter, Tracy (John) Renn of Wabash, Indiana; 13 grandchildren, Tyler Samuel, Jocelynn Samuel, Drake Samuel, Jordan Renn, Madisen French, Braydon French, Joseph Renn, John Renn II, Hayley French, Mykenzie Renn, Jathan French, Allayna Renn, Joseph Renn; 5 great-grandchildren, Greyson Samuel, Jenson Samuel, Hutton Samuel, Langston Miracle, Brookston Miracle. He is preceded in death by his parents, one great-granddaughter, Blakelynn Marie Rose Samuel, four brothers, and four sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Father Jay Horning officiating. Burial will follow at Center Grove Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.
Visitation for family and friends will be two hours prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the funeral home.
McDonald Funeral Homes, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992, have been trusted with Paul Samuel's final arrangements.
