Obituary

Paul T. Brandt, 65, a lifetime resident of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 3:58 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born to Waldo and Dorothy (Kreps) Brandt on November 27, 1959, in Wabash, Indiana.

Paul was a 1978 graduate of Wabash High School. After graduation he attended Northwest Missouri State. Paul was co-owner of Brandt's Harley Davidson in Wabash before retiring. He got his passion for motorcycles from his father, Waldo. Paul was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman and enjoyed baseball. He loved his dogs as they were family to him.

Paul is survived by one brother, Michael (Leila) Brandt of Roann, Indiana; nieces and nephews, Quinten Brandt, Kyria Hovey, Brook McClain, Branden Gray; two close friends, Gregory Gatchel and Dirk Smith. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Steven Allen Brandt, and one niece, Kandi Brandt.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor David Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Matlock Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to be directed to Wabash County Animal Shelter or the American Heart Association.
