Othell Sue Slone, 62, Wabash, passed away at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in her home. She was born to the late Homer and Silvinia (Gillispie) Penix on June 29, 1949 in Paintsville, Kentucky. Sue was a homemaker and loved to play bingo. She was formerly married to Danny Slone on February 15, 1976, he survives in Wabash. She is also survived by a son, Paul Slone of Wabash; sisters, Mrs. Thomas Ray (Modelle) Nance of Wabash and Alberta Penix of Wabash; two nieces, a nephew, two great nieces and two great nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, April Dawn Slone on January 5, 2003, brother, Homer Penix Jr and sister, Nella Fay Berry, along with her parents. Services will be 10 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2012 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Officiating the services will Pastor Danny Honeycutt. Burial will follow in the Falls Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
