Mildred K. (Malott) Cooper-Troyer, 97, rural LaFontaine passed away 3:40 a.m. on August 3, 2010 at Rolling Meadows Healthcare Center in LaFontaine, Indiana.

She was born July 13, 1913 in Grant County, Indiana to Don and Naomi (Owings) Malott. She married Robert H. Cooper in July 3,1934, he passed away in September 11, 1984. She then married Charles R. Troyer in April 8, 1986, he passed away in 1998.

She was a graduate of Sweetser High School, a lifetime member of Jalapa Methodist Church and a 50 year member of the LaFontaine O.E.S.. She was a Milliner in the 60's, enjoyed crafts, her flowers, birds, and baking pies. She also was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol in 1945, a granddaughter, Deanna Cooper Breese; a half brother, Emerson Kem and a half sister, Ferol (Kem) DeWeese.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Janice) Dawes of rural LaFontaine and a son, Jon M. Cooper(Diana) of Alexandria; six grandchildren, Debra (Jan) Finch, Kathie Dawes, Greg Dawes (Debra), Lisa (Jerry) Enyeart, Cindi Cooper and Nick Cooper; eight great grandchildren, Jessica and Abbey Finch; Chase,Allie and Chance Enyeart; Colton and Makenna Dawes; and Landon Breese; Also three step-sons, Dave, John and James Troyer and families.

Services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940 with one hour calling prior. Officiating the services will be Pastor Mick Wilson. Burial will be in the LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery in LaFontaine.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010 with a Order of Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940. Preferred memorials are to Rolling Meadows Healthcare Center Activities Fund in care of the funeral home.
