Marie L. Snell, 91, of Wabash, passed away at 10:15 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Parkview Wabash Hospital.  She was born August 27, 1926 in Custer Michigan to the late Russell and Edith (Frantz) Heckman.

Marie was a 1944 graduate of Lagro High School.  She married Billy Snell on September 19, 1953; he died on May 26, 2003.  Marie worked as a cashier for REMC and retired from Gen Corp. in 1988 after 32 years of service.  She was a member of Wabash First Brethren Church.

Marie is survived by many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by two brothers.

Graveside service and burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash with Pastor Nick Driskill officiating. Services have been entrusted to McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana  46992.

Preferred memorials are to be made to the Wabash County Animal Shelter, 810 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, IN  46992.
