Marcia Rutz

Marcia D. Rutz, 75, a lifetime resident of Wabash, Indiana, passed away at 10:12 p.m., on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Markle Health & Rehabilitation in Markle, Indiana. She was born on September 19, 1950, to Melvin Huston and Mary (Mettler) Huston in Wabash, Indiana.

Marcia was a 1969 graduate of Wabash High School. She worked at General Tire in Wabash, Indiana. Marcia married Ronald R. Rutz, Sr. on June 7, 1969; he survives. Marcia was a professional roller-skater and loved to play bingo. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and making memories with her grandchildren. Above all, Marcia's greatest love was her family.

Marcia is survived by her husband, Ronald R. Rutz, Sr.; sons, Ronald Rutz, Jr. (Lucille) of Wabash, Indiana, and Robert Rutz (Jennifer) of Topeka, Kansas; daughter, Angel Rutz of Wabash, Indiana; 7 grandchildren, Jimi Hults, Christian Rutz, Luke Rutz, Robert Rutz, Jr., Rose Zapp, Serenity Kerns, and Safire Rutz; and 3 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue., Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor Charlie Easterday officiating. Burial will follow at Mississinewa Cemetery in Somerset, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
