Larry Gene Holmes, 62, Lagro, passed away 7 a.m. on Monday, July 4, 2011 at his home. He was born to the late Edgar A. Holmes and Laura Belle (Meek) Baker in Wabash, Indiana on August 15, 1948.

He graduated from Wabash High School in 1966. He served his country in the United States Army, during Vietnam 1967-1968. He worked 30 years for Chrysler in Kokomo, also owned Holmes T.V. Antenna Service, Wabash. He was a member of VFW Post 286 and American Legion Post 15 both of Wabash.

He is survived by companion, Patricia Herron of Lagro; son, Richard E. Holmes (Paula) of Lagro; brother, Jeffery A. Holmes of Wabash; sister, Mrs. Rick (Patricia Ann) Gilpen of Peru; half sister, Debbie Radel of Peru; three grandchildren, Hannah, Cody, and Graydon Holmes, all of Lagro. He was preceded in death by a sister, along with his parents.

Funeral Services will be on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 10:00 am at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992, with Pastor Rich Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, In 46992. Burial will follow at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
