Jewell Butcher, 86, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 6:17 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Rolling Meadows Healthcare Center in LaFontaine, Indiana. She was born to the late Virgil and Annabelle (McDaniel) Anderson on July 10, 1930 in Maryville, Tennessee.

Jewell married Nevert Butcher in 1967, he passed away in February of 1986. She worked for United Tech in Wabash, Indiana. Jewell was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Wabash, Indiana.

Jewell is survived by sons, Steve Burger (Tina) of Wabash, Indiana, John Butcher (Jennifer) of Bunker Hill, Indiana, and Tim Butcher (Sabrina) of Gas City, Indiana; daughters, Linda Burger of Georgia, Janie Low of Huntington, Indiana, Mrs. Jeanie (Steven) Davis of Wabash, Indiana, Donna Harmon of Wabash, Indiana, Mrs. Judy (William) Cavins of Wabash, Indiana, Mrs. Michelle (Tommy) George of Wabash, Indiana, and Mrs. Billie Jo (Tim) Southerland of Marion, Indiana; sister, June Wilson of Tennessee; 22 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992, with Pastor Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Grant Memorial Park in Marion, Indiana. Preferred memorials are directed to Alzheimer's Association.
