Obituary
Jared Douglas Shears, 21, of rural LaFontaine died on Friday, July 16, 2010 at approximately 1:58 am from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. He was born in Wabash on May 31, 1989 to Scott and Roxanne (Brady) Shears.
Along with his parents, Jared is survived by 2 sisters, Shannon Shears, Greenwood, IN; and Nichole Schroll, of Phoenix, AZ; and maternal grandparents, John and Marsha Brady of Wabash.
He was currently working at Harvey Industries for the summer. Jared graduated from Southwood High School in 2008 and was a full time honor student attending Indiana University, studying physical therapy. He was also dedicated at Wabash Friends Church.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Wabash Friends Church with Pastor Dave Phillips officiating. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service. Following the Memorial Service there will be a Celebration of Life fellowship time at the church. The family requests that family and friends bring one of Jared's favorite dishes in honor of him. The funeral arrangements were entrusted to McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to the family of Jared to help pay for his final expenses.
