Grimes Richard "Rick" Gaston, 69, a resident of Wabash, Indiana, passed away at 6:40 p.m. at his residence, on Saturday, November 1, 2025. He was born on July 6, 1956, to Max Raymond Gaston and Orma (Derck) Gaston in Wabash, Indiana.

Rick was a 1975 graduate of Wabash High School. He worked at Ford Meter Box before his retirement. He loved the outdoors, spending his time hunting and hiking. Rick enjoyed tinkering and was always helping people fix things. Rick also loved participating in the Mississinewa 1812 reenactment. Rick is survived by two sons, Grimes Russell (Jennifer) Gaston of Wabash, Indiana, and Jamie A. Gaston of Wabash, Indiana; one daughter, Jessica Marie Gaston of Wabash, Indiana; six grandchildren, Anastasia Gaston, Gwyneth Marlow, Kedron Martoccia, Paige Gaston, Benjamin Gaston, and Khloe Schuler; one great-grandchild, Heather Marlow, on the way; two brothers, Max (Virginia) Gaston of Arkansas, and Larry (Sherry) Gaston of Huntington, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at McDonald Funeral Homes, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor Jake Andrews officiating.

Friends and family may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
