Gary Lynn McCarty, 39, of Wabash, passed away at his residence at approximately 6:00 am on Sunday, October 31, 2010.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Granville L. and Phyllis A. (Hyden) McCarty on November 30, 1970. He is preceded in death by his father.

A 1988 graduate of Loma Vista High School, he also graduated with honors from Ivy Tech in Wabash.

Gary was a member of the American Legion Post 15, Wabash, Wabash Eagles Lodge 549, and Tri Kappa Alumni. He had Baptist affiliations.

Along with his mother he is survived by one sister, Jennifer L. Tyson, Florida; one half-brother, Gregory A. Keel of Kentucky; one neice, Samantha Tyson; and one nephew, Ricky Jacob (April) Nelson, both of Wabash.

Funeral Services will be at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 10:30 am with calling hours from 9:30 am until the time of the service.

Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Lagro.
