Obituary

Frederick 'Fred' Clarence Moore, 81, passed away 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at his home in rural Wabash. He was born to the late David Curtis "Curt" and Marlene (Pitts) Moore on April 9, 1930 in Wabash, Indiana.

He married Gleniss Snell on December 17, 1951, she survives. Fred served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from the United States Air Force after 25 years of service; he worked at Bendix in North Manchester, Indiana. He was a life member of VFW Post 286 and American Legion Post 15 both of Wabash.

Along with his wife, Gleniss; he is survived by son, Kevin Moore (Michelle) of Indianapolis; two daughters, Debbie Hitlaw of Marion and Dawn England (Terry) of Peru; brother, Bill Moore (Marilyn) of Michigan; two sisters, Bonnie Kruger of Marion and Beverly Emrick (Dave) of Wabash; six grandchildren, Shannon and Christopher Crase both of Logansport, Joshua England of Wabash, Jamie England of Plymouth, Letice Shelton of Indianapolis and Ashley Moore of Indianapolis; and five great grandchildren, Gabriel, Brianna, Robert, Michael and Emma. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Moore, along with his parents.

Service will be 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, IN 46992. Officiating the services will be Pastor Guy Provance. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory in Grant County, Indiana.
