Eloise E. Giddens, 95, Wabash, passed away 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born to the late John E. and Susanna (Barter) Bauer on January 17, 1916 in Huntington, Indiana.
She graduated from Huntington High School in 1933. She married Charles Giddens on October 1, 1938, he passed away in 1983. She retired in 1981 from Siebe Controls in North Manchester, Indiana. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Wabash, also a member of Rosary Guild and Womans Club House Association in Wabash. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center in Wabash and playing euker, alot.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Suzanne Schenkel of Huntington; three grandchildren, Annalise Giddens, Marc Giddens and Melanie Giddens all of Liberty Mills and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Daniel Giddens and a brother, along with her husband and parents.
Mass of a Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 207 N. Cass Street, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Officiating the services will be Father Sextus Don. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory in Grant County, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to St. Bernard Catholic Church, 207 N. Cass Street, Wabash, Indiana 46992.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 p.m. unitl 7 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2011 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. on Friday.
