Dorthy A. Bridegroom, 83, formerly of Wabash, passed away in the morning of Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at her home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born to the late Henry and Ethel Mable (Patrick) Fingerle in North Manchester, Indiana on March 7, 1928.

She married Robert Bridegroom on October 31, 1944, he passed away October 7, 1974. She was a beautician and also worked for the Hallmark Store in Wabash, where she retired. She was a member of the Ladies Auxilary of the American Legion Post 15 in Wabash, Indiana.

She is survived by daughter, Cheryl Phillips of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Mrs. Mark (Stacey) Heaston of Fort Wayne; great grandchildren, Megan and Alexander Heaston both of Fort Wayne; brothers, Elbert Fingerle of Wabash and Jesse Fingerle of North Manchester; and sister, Evelyn Miller of Rochester. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister, along with her parents and husband.
