Doris Jean Loy, 85, rural Wabash, passed away at 8:55 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Millers Merry Manor East in Wabash. She was born to the late Lewis V. and Elma I. (Landis) Story on November 3, 1926 in Wabash, Indiana. She was a 1944 graduate of Wabash High School. She married Fredrick H. Loy on August 24, 1946, he passed November 6, 1992. She retired as a Switchboard Operator for the Wabash County Court House. She was a member of Lincolnville United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, Christopher V. Loy of Minneapolis, Minnesota; daughter, Paula K. Loy (Mike Martin) of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother, Robert L. Story (Esther) of Wabash; sister, Beatrice Bassett (Richard) of Wabash; former sister-in-law, Connie Rosen of Wabash; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren,  and three step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Truman Story, along with her parents and husband. Service will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940. Officiating the services will be Rev. Melissa Rice. Viewing for family and friends will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00pm on Monday, February 20, 2012 at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main Street, LaFontaine, IN 46940. Burial will be in Centergrove Cemetery, rural Wabash.
