Donna Jean (Coffman) Lloyd

Donna Jean (Coffman) Lloyd, 102 years old, passed away at Heritage Pointe in Warren, Indiana, on Thursday, July 9, 2026. She was born in Marion, Indiana on May 25, 1924, to Harry and Irene (Miller) Coffman.

Donna attended Martin Boots and graduated from Marion High School in 1942. After graduation she worked for Dr. Killen and Local Finance Corp. On June 26, 1943, she married Merrill Lloyd; they were married for 67 years.

In 1960, after her children were in school, she worked for Martin & Son Feed and Grain in LaFontaine as a bookkeeper for 11 years. Donna and Merrill were very active in the LaFontaine Christian Church. They loved entertaining friends and belonged to several euchre and pinochle clubs.

In the mid-1970's, they started vacationing in Avon Park, Florida. The stays became longer and longer until they finally bought a home in Lake Bonnet Village. Becoming "snowbirds" was a fun thing for them: 6 months in Indiana and 6 months in Florida.

Still on the farm, Merrill passed away in 2014. In 2016, Donna moved to Heritage Pointe in Warren. She made many friends, and both those friends and the staff became like family.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Carol (Bill) Clevenger of Warren, Indiana, and son, Philip (Penny) Lloyd of Marion, Indiana. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren: Sarah Oliver, Danny (Marie) Lloyd, Susan (Jason) Worster, Joe (Amy) Lloyd, Steven (Carol Marie) Nose, and David (Mandy) Lloyd; 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, father-in-law, Dave Lloyd, and mother-in-law, Geneva Lloyd.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at LaFontaine Christian Church, 202 S. Bruner Pike, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940 with Pastor Brad Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park in Marion, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at LaFontaine Christian Church.
