Denis Ian Russell, age 68, Indianapolis, passed away 8 p.m. on January 8, 2011 in his residence. He was born August 9, 1942 in Brisbane, Australia to the late Ernest T. Russell and Shirley M. (Shelley) Kraft. Denis graduated from high school in Lafayette, Indiana. He was a partner of the Green Gables Restaurant, Eller House, Blue Herron, Adam's Rib and Taylor's Pub all of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of the American Culinary Federation and Big Brothers of America. Surviving is his step brother, Desmond Kraft of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Service will be 10 a.m. on Friday, January 14, 2011 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Burial will follow in the Friends Cemetery in Wabash County, Indiana 46992.
