Debbie Jo (Sonda) Salyers, 48, Huntington, passed away 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at her home. She was formerly of Wabash. She was a 1980 graduate from Wabash High School. She worked for United Technologies in Huntington.

She is survived by a special companion, David Hopkins of Huntington; daughter, Heather Salyers of Wabash; two sons, Eric Saylers of Huntington and Chad Salyers (Jessie) of Suffolk, Virginia; four grandchildren, Gwen Dials, Madison Gillespie, Eli Gillespie and Wyatt Salyers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Martha (Bennett) Sonda.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2010 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992.

Calling hours for family and friends will be from 9 a.m. until time of service on Friday, October 22, 2010 at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home of Allen County or V.F.W. Post 286 of Wabash.
