David Robert Stewart, 92, Wabash, passed away at 6:02 pm on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Wabash County Hospital. He was born in Marion, IN to the late Charles and Edith (Massey) Stewart. He married Frances Guerin in 1942, she survives.

David was a Pipefitter and a Foreman at General Tire, Wabash, retiring in 1978. He served our Country in the United States Army Airforce. He was a member of Masonic Hannah Lodge #61 of Wabash, Scottish Rite Shrine of Fort Wayne, Order of the Eastern Star, Wabash, American Legion Post 15, VFW Post 286, Wabash Eagles, and AMVETS of Wabash.

Along with his wife, he is survived by a son David L. (Zenda) Stewart, Fraeysburg, OH; 3 daughters, Mrs. Phil (Brenda) Miller, North Manchester, IN; Cheryl Teague, Urbana, IN; Mrs. Tim (Nancy) Eviston of Wabash; one brother, Charles (Reba) Stewart, Roseburg, IN; 5 grandchildren, Angela Ogino, Wendy Dolloff, Kim Evans, Troy (Crystal) Teague, Penny Drumm; 3 step grandchildren, Fran (Andy) Ball, Rick (Amanda) Eviston, Corey (Sharon) Miller; 14 great grandchildren; and 4 step grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, 3 sisters, a grandson John Miller, and a great granddaughter Tiffany Bell.

A Memorial Service will be on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 11:00 am at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, IN 46992 with Pastor Rick Borgman officiating. Calling hours will be from 9:00 am until the time of service on Thursday. Burial will follow at Thrailkill Cemetery, Swayzee, IN.
