Obituary

Clyde Allen "Apple" Sanders, 91, Wabash, passed away 1:20 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Millers Merry Manor East in Wabash. He was born to the late Ervin and Olive A. (Gruble) Sanders on May 11, 1919 in Marion, Indiana.

Clyde served his country in the United States Navy, during WWII. He married Evelyn B. "Dumplin" (Kerr) Sanders on February 17, 1940, she survives. He was a former member of Treaty Church of Christ in Treaty, Indiana. He was a member of American Legion Post 15, VFW Post 286 and Eagles Lodge all of Wabash; and CCC Camp and Lagro and Peoria.

Along with his wife, Evelyn; he is survived by a son, Dwayne Sanders (Joyce) of Wabash and daughter, Sally Jo Sanders-Adams (Jim) of Jasper, Indiana; eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. He was one of eleven brothers and sisters, who have all passed prior to him.

Calling hours for family and friends will be from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992.
