Obituary

Clifford Strickler, 74, he lived at 413 Delaware Street in Wabash, passed at 3:36 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born to the late Clifford and Mary (Lehman) Strickler on September 21, 1936 in Huntington, Indiana.

He was a graduate of Wabash High School. He married Margaret (Ragan) Strickler in 1959, she passed January 31, 2010. He worked at Ford Metet Box of Wabash, Guthries 76 Station, and General Tire of Wabash. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1955 until 1959, also in the National Guard. He was a member of the VFW Post 286 of Wabash. He was active in the Wabash Little League and Boy Scouts; also raced in semi pro stock cars.

He is survived by three sons, Clifford Strickler of Wabash, Howard Chris Strickler of Lincolnville, and John Strickler of Muncie; a daughter, Mary Strickler Montague of Fort Wayne; sister, Margaret Ann Hall of Wabash; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, along with his parents and wife.

Services will be 10 a.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Burial will follow in the Marion Veterans Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.
