Obituary

Charles Dwight Adams, 59, Lagro, passed away 9:40 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born on September 24, 1950 in Florence, Alabama to the late Charles N. Adams and Bobbie (Coker) Adams, she survives in Lagro . Dwight attended Northfield High. He married Candace Snapp on August 19, 1967, she survives. He was self employed, he bought and sold Farm Machinery and Industrial Equipment; which he enjoyed very much.

He is a member of the Abundant Life Tabernacle Church in Wabash. He loved spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren. He collected John Deere and pocket knives. He also loved southern gospel music.

He is survived by two daughters, Melissa Upton of Huntington and Wendy Miller (Eric) of Denver, Indiana; two brothers, Randy Adams (Kathy) of Noblesville and Jackie Adams of Lagro; three grandchildren, Victoria and Nathan Upton both of Lagro and Ashley Upton of Huntington. Along with his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Adams and a sister, Charlene Adams.

Services will be 10 a.m. on Monday, May 24, 2010 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Officiating the services will be Pastor Michael Jones. Burial will be in the Lagro Cemetery in Lagro, Indiana.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the family of Dwight Adams to offset funeral expenses in care of the funeral home.
