Bernard J. Hoagland, 83, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 12:31 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Millers Merry Manor in Wabash, Indiana. He was born to the late Rufus McGee and Francis E. (Fisher) Hoagland on May 7, 1931 in Peru, Indiana.

He retired from General Tire, and also worked at USG both of Wabash, Indiana.  He enjoyed fishing and going to the casino with his brothers.

Bernard is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Cortney (Trina Marie) Fritz of LaFayette, Indiana; two brothers, Donald Hoagland of Lake Placid, Florida and Frank Hoagland of Urbana, Indiana; grandson, Evan and step grandson, Kaleb. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 11 a .m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992, with Pastor Guy Provance officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Lawns Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana. Memorial donations may be made to the family to help offset monument cost.
