Arquipio "Bob" Melendez, 82, Wabash passed away at 1:23 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Wabash County Hospital in Wabash, Indiana. He was born to the late Pepe and Maria (Laboy) Melendez on March 26, 1930 in Ceiba, Puerto Rico. He married Cecilia Hernandez on February 23, 1952, she survives in Wabash, Indiana. He served his country in the United States Airforce. He was of Catholic Faith. Bob retired as a manager for a trucking company. Along with his wife Cecilia, he is also survived by two sons, Robert Melendez of Salem, New Hampshire and Richard Melendez of Wabash, Indiana; three daughters, Cynthia Santiago of Wabash, Indiana, Cheryl Acosta of New Jersey, and Cecilia Hewitt of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brother, Joe Melendez of California; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters, along with his parents. There will be no services for Arquipio "Bob" Melendez.
