Annabelle R. Pressler, 98, Wabash, passed away at 10:10 pm on Monday, March 19, 2012 at Miller's Merry Manor-East, Wabash. She was born in Wabash on January 18, 1914 to the late Christian Monroe and Elizabeth (Rennaker) Clupper.
She grew up in Treaty, graduating from LaFontaine High School in 1932. She married Eugene L. Pressler on March 23, 1936 in Greenfield, Indiana. He passed away September 14, 1985. Annabelle worked in her younger years at A. F. Billings making Christmas ornaments. She later worked at B. Walter (Table Slides). She attended nursing school and worked as an aide at Wabash County Hospital and Miller's Merry Manor-East, Wabash. She was a charter member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Robert G. Pressler, Indianapolis, and Ronald A. (Judy) Pressler, Wabash; a daughter, Janice K. (Patrick) Flinn, Phoenix, AZ; 4 grandchildren, Ashley A. Pressler, Portland, OR, Andrew B. Pressler, Indianapolis, Daniel P. (Elena) Flinn, Anthem, AZ, and Jennifer (Volkmar) von Sehlen, Missoula, MT; 2 great grandchildren, Kirsten E. Pressler, Plymouth, Indiana, and Anastasiya J. Flinn, Anthem, AZ.
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Floyd Clupper.
Service will be 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940. Officiating the services will be Pastor Larry Hubartt. Burial will follow in the LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery in LaFontaine, Indiana.
