Anna Louella Davis, 85, Morganton, North Carolina, formerly of Wabash, passed away at 11:35 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Grace Heights in Morganton, North Carolina. She was born to the late Verl and Ruth A. (Emhoof) Burns on August 2, 1925 in Denver, Indiana.

She married Stanley J. Davis on May 7, 1944, he passed away December 21, 2003. She was a homemaker. She was a member of College Corner Church of the Brethran in Wabash, Indiana. The greatest love of Anna's Life was her family. She enjoyed cooking and canning.

She is survived by three sons, Roy Davis (Regina) of Marshall, Texas, Steven Davis (Jeanie) of Wabash and Verl Davis (Constance) of Wabash; daughter, Mona Sue Orr of Moganton, North Carolina; a brother, Eddie Burns of Denver; two sisters, Mary Day (Alfred) of Peru and Regina Vigar of Rochester; 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob Burns, Victor Burns and Richard Burns; and a grandchild, Ashlee Ann Davis, along with her husband and parents.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Officiating the services will be Pastor David Phillips. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion County, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m on Friday, February 11, 2011 at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Burke County North Carolina Hospice in care of the funeral home.
