Alene L. France, 84, a resident of Wabash County, Indiana, passed away at 8:05 a.m., on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at The Waters of Wabash East in Wabash, Indiana. She was born on December 14, 1940, to George and Flossie (Jones) Collier in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Alene married Rex A. France on December 30, 1957. He passed away on November 21, 2005. Alene was a homemaker and a very talented seamstress. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, crafting, and making clothes. As a devout Christian, she was a member of Christian Heritage Church in Wabash, Indiana. Alene is survived by three sons, Jerry (Cathy) France of Wabash, Indiana, Jeffery (Mary) France of Wabash, Indiana, and Jason (Amelia) France of Wabash, Indiana; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three brothers, George Collier, James Collier, and Robert Collier.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at McDonald Funeral Homes, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Burial will follow at Frances Slocum Cemetery in Wabash County.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
