Lydia "Marcy" Marcella (Burns) Finnell

Lydia “Marcy” Marcella (Burns) Finnell, 77, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Parkview Wabash Hospital in Wabash, Indiana. She was born to the late Truman and Bertha Leona (Miller) Burns on November 30, 1937 in Darke County, Ohio.

She attended nursing school at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, then graduated from Manchester University with a Bachelor Degree in Sociology. Lydia married James Lee Finnell on June 10, 1961, he survives in Wabash, Indiana. She retired as a registered nurse for Wabash County Hospital of Wabash, Indiana. Lydia was a faithful member of Wabash Church of the Brethren of Wabash, Indiana.

She is also survived by a son, Paul R. Finnell (Valerie) of Indianapolis, Indiana, grandsons, Truman and Lucas Finnell; a daughter, Cynthia A. Voght of Wabash, Indiana, grandson, James R. Walls, great grandson, Ethan J. Walls; four brothers, Robert G. Burns of Union City, Indiana, Chester D. Burns, Wayne E. Burns, and Gerald O. Burns all of Ohio; a sister, Miriam S. Holler of Piqua, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Wabash Church of the Brethren Church, 645 Bond Street, Wabash, Indiana 46992, with Pastor Kay Gaier officiating.

Calling hours for family and friends will be from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday at the church. Preferred memorials are directed to Wabash Church of the Brethren, 645 Bond Street, Wabash, Indiana 46992.
