Glen Shelton, 75, of rural Marion, Indiana passed away at 2:15 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born to the late Nate and Maude (Rice) Shelton on October 24, 1941 in Madison County, North Carolina.

Glen married Anna R. King on January 12, 1960, she survives. He worked as a yardman at Active Products in Marion, Indiana and retired from Marion Community Schools. Glen was a member of Apostolic Church in Wabash, Indiana. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He played gospel music, the guitar, mandolin; he also sang. He was a minister in the church teaching the word of God.

He is survived by a son, Jason Shelton of Converse, Indiana, two daughters, Tracie Cochran of Wabash, Indiana and Shari Mowery of Gas City, Indiana; three brothers, Ricky Shelton of Tennessee, Lewis Shelton (Jill) of Folwerton, Indiana and Doyle Shelton of Greenville, Tennessee; two sisters, Phyliss Mitchell of Greenville, Tennessee and Helen Ottinger of Greenville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Matthew L. Cochran, Joshua M. Holmes, Brandy L. Mowery, Alexis Paul, and Nathan Shelton. He is preceded in death by his sister, Shirley.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940, with Jeremy Lang and Bishop Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in the LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery in LaFontaine, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 pm. until 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are directed to Wabash Apostolic Church in Wabash, Indiana. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mcdonaldfunerals.com
