Charlotte M. Speicher, 100, of LaFontaine, Indiana passed away at 12:35 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Rolling Meadows Healthcare in LaFontaine, Indiana. She was born to the late Clifford and Alena (Mahoney) Black on December 3, 1916 in Hartford City, Indiana.

She was a graduate of LaFontaine High School. Charlotte married William Raymond Speicher on April 8, 1939, he passed away on May 29, 2003. She was a homemaker to her family. Charlotte was a longtime member of LaFontaine United Methodist Church in LaFontaine, Indiana.

Sons surviving Charlotte, Phillip Speicher (Marilyn) of LaFontiane, Indiana, William Robert “Bob” Speicher (Connie) of Alexandria, Indiana, and Russell "Dean" Speicher (Sandra K.) of LaFontaine, Indiana, and a daughter-in-law Judy Speicher; grandchildren, Denise Wood (Gregg) of LaFontiane, Indiana, Lisa Carpenter of Wabash, Indiana, Kellie Stoffel (Tim) of Roanoke, Indiana, Stefanie Goodman (Mark) of Marion, Indiana, Ron Speicher of Alexandria, Indiana, Christa Ferdarko (Patrick) of Arizona, and Wesley Speicher of Alexandria; and 9 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Richard L. Speicher, three sisters, Bertha, Mabel, Ava, and a half sister Harriett, step mother, Alice Black, and two half brothers, George and Leonard Black.

Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017 at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940, with Chaplin Don Miller officiating. Burial will follow at LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery in LaFontaine, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are directed to LaFontaine United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mcdonaldfunerals.com.
